Do you have a special role in the residency program? What do you do?
I am the education lead for the HPB rotation.
What do you like about training residents?
It keeps me on my toes!
What is your favourite thing to teach?
I LOVE to teach the anatomy of the pancreas and the root of the mesentery. How everything weaves together at the nexus of the gastrointestinal tract, the pancreas, bile duct and mesenteric vessels. I also love to teach laparoscopic suturing!
What is the thing you're the most proud of in your professional life?
Building a laparoscopic hepatectomy program at TOH
What do you do outside of work?
I play rugby (pre-pandemic.) i also love to cook (and eat).
